Fang Leng accidentally obtained a Marvel Universe Pass and was transported to another world. To his astonishment, this was the Marvel universe—home to Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, Thor, Wolverine, and a host of ambitious villains! Even more astonishing was the fact that his body had mutated during the journey: his eyes had evolved into “Superpower Conversion Eyes,” allowing him to perceive and transform the superpowers of other heroes into his own.

Chapter 1: Transported to the Marvel Universe? The wind was howling, occasionally blowing the flyers scattered on the ground into the air. The floor of Qidong College’s Career Center was littered with application forms; the job fair attendees had all but cleared out. Yet one figure remained, wandering among the scattered papers... “Man, this is such a bummer. Nothing matches my qualifications!” Fang Leng muttered as he walked, holding a few copies of his resume, his face a mix of resignation and frustration. It was true. After more than a decade of schooling, he’d ended up majoring in philosophy—a field he wasn’t particularly passionate about. He’d never bothered to earn any professional certifications, so now, after graduation, he was hitting a wall at every turn. Employers kept demanding this or that qualification. It was a real headache! Honestly, no matter how hard young people today work for their futures, they often find themselves stuck in a rut, unable to turn things around. There were countless young people like Fang Leng, frustrated and unfulfilled. Still, two companies had picked up his resume at this job fair—though, of course, no one knew if he’d actually get hired. Fang Leng tapped his chest lightly with his fist; he still felt a bit frustrated. But since he’d submitted his resume, he’d just have to wait for the interview notice in a couple of days. Fang Leng took a long, deep breath and prepared to head home. But before leaving, he decided to stay here for a while to clear his head after days of job-hunting setbacks. "I should find a place to sit for a bit," Fang Leng thought to himself, scanning the surrounding area with his eyes. Finally, about a hundred meters away, he spotted a public bench painted brown. He’d been wandering around the job fair for ages; it was about time he found a spot to rest. Without another word, Fang Leng walked over to the bench. After walking for a short while, he finally reached the bench. The surrounding greenery was quite nice; he could relax by looking at the trees. Fang Leng casually tossed his resume onto the seat, but just as he was about to sit down, he suddenly froze! Fang Leng rubbed his eyes. Just a moment ago, there had been nothing where he was about to sit, but now a very精致, bright red metal card had appeared. Looking again, he realized he hadn’t been seeing things—the strange card had appeared almost instantly. “This is crazy!” Fang Leng muttered to himself as he picked up the bright red metal card. There, in bold letters, was the phrase: “rvel Universal Pass!” “What… what is this?” Fang Leng felt a wave of astonishment upon seeing this. The word “rvel” seemed vaguely familiar to him. But then something even more bizarre happened! Centered around the bright red metal card in Fang Leng’s hand, a peculiar storm erupted all around him, sweeping him up entirely. “My God, what’s happening!” Fang Leng cried out, his body almost completely beyond his control. He felt as if the world were turning upside down as he was sucked into a space within the storm that resembled a black hole! In the midst of his panic, Fang Leng cried out. He felt a sensation of complete transformation coursing through his body, and even his thoughts were completely beyond his control. Then, a voice echoed in his ears: “You have entered the Rvel Universe...” He didn’t know how much time had passed... Bright sunlight streamed onto his eyelids, and a reddish glow seeped through them to his optic nerves. “Ugh... mmm...” Fang Leng opened his eyes and looked around. He found himself in a flower bed. Just as he tried to stand up, he felt a wave of aching throughout his body. At the same time, he heard the hum of passing car tires. Nevertheless, Fang Leng forced himself to sit up. As he surveyed his surroundings, he suddenly realized he was in a flower bed on the side of a wide street! Fang Leng gently patted his head with his hand, trying to piece everything together. Hadn’t he just been... That’s right—he had been swept into a strange black hole amidst a storm created by a bright red metal card! And that voice was still echoing in his mind: “You have entered the Rvel Universe... The Superpower Conversion Eye has undergone a mutation and evolution!” What on earth was all this? The Marvel Universe? Fang Leng slowly stood up and surveyed his surroundings. He was on a wide street, with people passing by from time to time. However, upon closer inspection, these pedestrians all had Western features; their height and demeanor were almost identical to the Americans seen in movies. Where on earth was this? And what was that bright red metal card and the black hole-like thing that had formed just now? A sudden intuition surged within Fang Leng. Could it be that he had traveled through time? And “rvel”—that sounded just like Marvel! Wasn’t that the world where superheroes like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Captain America lived? Could it be that he had actually traveled through time? As a young man, Fang Leng loved reading science fiction. But now, the kind of time travel he’d only read about in sci-fi novels had actually happened to him! Fang Leng tried hard to recall everything about himself, then looked around again. The streets and surroundings confirmed that he was indeed in the United States! “No! How could I be so quick to conclude I’ve time-traveled? Snap out of it!” Fang Leng frantically began pounding his fists against his own body, but aside from a momentary surge of pain, nothing else changed. “It’s real. This isn’t a dream,” Fang Leng said, his face filled with astonishment. Fang Leng looked around, his heart pounding with anxiety. He had no means of making a living in this world, and he might not even be able to communicate with the locals—this was going to be a huge problem. “Well… since I’ve traveled through time, how am I supposed to survive here?” Fang Leng clutched his head with both hands, his face etched with despair. “You’re finally awake.” A rough, hoarse voice came from behind Fang Leng. Fang Leng turned his head to see a middle-aged man in ragged clothes with a scruffy beard staring blankly at him. His first impression was that the man was most likely a beggar. Fang Leng snapped out of his daze and addressed the man: “Ah… um… Sir… may I ask who you are…” The man replied casually in his rough, hoarse voice, “Hey, did you just wake up? I came here to rest this morning and found someone new here—you.” Fang Leng felt a sudden surge of joy—he could actually understand what the man was saying, as clearly as if it were his native language. At least communication wouldn’t be a problem now. He might as well use this opportunity to gather some information. Fang Leng looked at the unshaven middle-aged man and asked, “Um, sir. Where is this? Which country is this, exactly?” No sooner had the words left his mouth than the middle-aged man’s face contorted into a bizarre expression, as if he’d just seen an alien. He gave Fang Leng a strange look and said in a hoarse voice, “You must have gotten completely wasted and passed out here, right? Still not fully sober yet? This is New York. Since it’s New York, what other country could it be? Of course it’s the United States. Even a three-year-old on the street knows that.” “And besides, aren’t you afraid of getting robbed sleeping in the park in the middle of the night? It’s not like us beggars have anything to worry about. The New York Police Department is understaffed, and that volunteer officer everyone calls Spider-Man can’t catch every thief.” No sooner had the words left his mouth than Fang Leng’s jaw dropped. His eyes widened in astonishment as he stared at the middle-aged beggar. “You just mentioned Spider-Man. What do you mean by that, sir?” “You mean that volunteer police officer so many New Yorkers praise? The weirdo who wears a strange red-and-blue spandex suit and shoots webs from his hands? Hmm... Come to think of it, I think I actually saw him swing over here a few days ago to catch a thief.” This time, Fang Leng’s jaw dropped completely. The middle-aged beggar spoke about these things with such conviction, and his expression was so natural that there wasn’t a trace of insincerity. So Spider-Man really does exist! Fang Leng snapped out of his astonishment and asked, “Uncle, has there ever been a man named Tony Stark in New York?” The old beggar furrowed his brow and explained, as if looking at an ignorant child, “Isn’t that Iron Man? The guy who spends his days eating, drinking, partying, and causing trouble, yet calls himself a hero. Go take a walk down the commercial district—you’ll see his promotional videos and ads on all the big screens.” So there really is an Iron Man! Now Fang Leng could confirm that he had truly arrived in the Marvel universe. But another problem immediately arose: how was he supposed to survive here? “Uncle, I’m off now.” Fang Leng bid farewell to the old beggar and set off along the path beside the road. As he walked, Fang Leng grumbled to himself, “That damn Marvel Universe Pass—it actually brought me to this Marvel world out of the blue.” Fang Leng’s vacant eyes scanned the buildings lining the street. Amid this dazed gaze, the words “The Horn Daily” on a skyscraper caught his attention. “The Daily Bugle? I feel like I’ve heard that name somewhere before…” A strange feeling suddenly washed over Fang Leng. Fang Leng’s gaze then shifted to the bulletin board in front of the building, which displayed a selection of the newspaper’s current hot issues. Among them were several papers featuring Spider-Man on the front page. Fang Leng frowned as he studied the newspapers on the bulletin board, deep in thought. “The Daily Bugle… Spider-Man… That’s it!” Fang Leng suddenly remembered that Spider-Man, Peter Parker, worked at the Daily Bugle, and that the much-maligned newspaper publisher, Jameson, was his boss. Instantly, Fang Leng’s eyes lit up with excitement as he headed toward the entrance of the Daily Bugle. In his excitement, he got a little carried away and ended up bumping into someone. “Oh, sorry!” Fang Leng apologized. “It’s okay,” replied a handsome young man with an intellectual air. Just as Fang Leng was about to continue into the building, a voice from the side said, “Peter Parker, it’s you again. You aren’t here to show me more Spider-Man photos, are you?” Hearing this voice, Fang Leng froze for a moment and turned to look over. The speaker was a middle-aged man holding a briefcase and puffing on a cigar, and the person he was addressing was the young man Fang Leng had just accidentally bumped into. It was actually Peter Parker!
