Chapter 45: Three Women Compete
Seeing that Nameless had given up resistance, the wanton woman was overjoyed; she couldn’t wait to throw herself into his arms and rushed toward him at full speed. Nameless, however, had gone numb; he stared blankly as she approached, showing no reaction whatsoever, as if prepared to let her do as she pleased. Just as the wanton woman reached Nameless, she acted like a young girl, trying to kiss his cheek and wrapping her arms around him as if he were a doll, intent on holding him close to her body. This startled Yan Miaomiao, who stood nearby, causing her to let out a shriek of “Ah!” as if she’d witnessed something repulsive. She turned her head away, unable to bear the sight, while Nameless remained frozen in place, motionless and dazed, allowing the wanton woman to do as she pleased. Just as she was about to embrace Nameless, the wanton woman suddenly saw a flash before her eyes. It seemed as though something gleaming was hurtling straight toward her. She had no choice but to dodge hurriedly, leaping backward, and barely managed to avoid the object. The wanton woman looked down and saw that the object was actually a long sword—sharp and slender—that had been hurled directly at her. Fortunately, she had dodged quickly; otherwise, it would certainly have struck her. Filled with both shock and anger, she looked toward the direction from which the sword had come. Following the trajectory of the sword, a man in blue leaped into the courtyard from outside. He had fair, handsome features—sharp eyebrows and bright eyes—exuding a heroic aura that seemed even more dashing than Nameless’s. However, his delicate figure and long legs suggested that this man was actually a woman dressed as a man. After leaping into the courtyard, the man rushed straight toward Nameless. Taking advantage of the fact that the wanton woman and Yan Miaomiao weren’t paying attention, he yanked Nameless into his arms. Seeing her dazed expression, he couldn’t help but lean in and kiss her. The kiss snapped Nameless right back to her senses. Recognizing the newcomer, she cried out in delight, “Junior Sister!” only then realizing he’d been kissed. Even though it was his junior sister, he was still quite surprised. He touched his lips and asked in astonishment, “What was that?” Ake blushed instantly at Nameless’s question. It turned out that after Ake had gone to Xiaoyao Valley to consult her master, she had hurried back to find Nameless, only to discover he was nowhere to be found. When she asked the innkeeper, he told her Nameless had gone out for a stroll. This worried Ake terribly, so she immediately began searching everywhere. While she was looking, she heard a deafening series of thuds and rushed over in a panic. Just as she arrived, she happened to see the wayward woman about to kiss Nameless. For some reason, she felt both anxious and furious; in a flash, she hurled the long sword she was holding and pulled Nameless back. But the moment she saw Nameless’s face, she couldn’t help but recall what had happened that night. Her emotions instantly became unsettled, and she leaned in and kissed him right then and there. Nameless was in a daze and felt absolutely nothing. “I was just helping you regain your senses!” Ake replied when Nameless asked, blushing as she stubbornly explained, then tugged him behind her and scanned her surroundings warily. Nameless took her word for it and obediently followed his senior sister’s instructions; after all, he was still unable to handle a flirtatious woman, so out of sight, out of mind. When Ake finally calmed down and looked around the courtyard, she was furious. Aside from Nameless hiding behind her, there were two other people in the courtyard. On the ground lay a girl with black-and-yellow hair, who appeared to be about her own age. with a high nose, large eyes, and a cherry-red mouth—she was quite beautiful. Sitting slumped on the ground, she looked pitiful. Standing opposite her was a transvestite who was completely naked; the sight of their lower body was particularly chilling, making Ake feel waves of nausea. The attire of the three people in the courtyard made the scene utterly repulsive. Although Ake reacted strongly, she managed to keep her composure. Glancing at the other two, she assumed they were the ones seducing her junior brother, which made her even angrier. She snapped, “You two shameless creatures—how dare you seduce my junior brother!” Nameless, standing behind her, had intended to explain, but seeing how enraged Ake was, he didn’t dare interrupt. Yan Miaomiao realized the person was a man and suddenly kissed Nameless—which also made her feel queasy. But when she heard Nameless call out, “Little Senior Sister!” she realized the person was actually a woman dressed as a man. The disgust she’d felt just moments before instantly turned into a complex mix of emotions. When she saw Ake yank Nameless behind her to shield him, she grew a bit angry,She thought to herself, “What kind of senior sister is this, so blindly protective of her own without distinguishing right from wrong?” She hadn’t had a good impression of her to begin with, but when she heard Ake actually curse at her, she flew into a rage. Given that her current predicament was half the fault of that “good junior brother,” her anger flared even more. Meanwhile, the wayward woman, upon hearing Nameless call out “Little Senior Sister,” immediately grew wary. She knew full well that Zheng Family Village lay right at the entrance to Xiaoyao Valley; if she alerted Xiaoyaozi, the consequences would be dire. She decided not to take any chances, snatched some of Nameless’s clothes, and hastily dressed herself. While the wayward woman was dressing, Ake picked up the long sword that had been thrown to the ground, creating a three-way standoff with the other two. Nameless was still hiding behind Ake; even though the wayward woman had finished dressing, she still didn’t dare to look at her directly. “You two wanton women, why are you seducing my junior brother?” Ake had already completely jumped to the conclusion that these two were her opponents. “Oh, another little slut. Give me back my hunk!” The wanton woman seemed genuinely smitten with Nameless; ignoring Ake, she charged straight at him. Ake immediately stepped in front of him and shouted, “You two sluts!” Standing nearby, Yan Miaomiao couldn’t stand it anymore as Ake kept dragging her into the insults—calling her a “slut” here and a “bitch” there. Moreover, Ake’s actions—kissing Nameless the moment she appeared and then hiding him behind her—had left Yan Miaomiao deeply upset. Why was she making such baseless accusations right off the bat? Her junior and senior sisters were cut from the same cloth—both falsely accusing innocent people who were merely minding their own business. Filled with indignation, she flashed her palms and launched an attack at Ake as well, and so the three women began fighting. In terms of martial arts alone, Ake, the Wayward Woman, and Yan Miaomiao were originally evenly matched. However, both the Wayward Woman and Yan Miaomiao were injured, and after their recent fierce battle, their strength was still depleted; even joining forces, they could barely hold their own against Ake. Meanwhile, Ake found herself caught between two attackers. In particular, the Wayward Woman’s attacks were sometimes aimed not at Ake herself, but directly at the Nameless One behind her, leaving Ake torn between front and back and unable to secure a quick victory. Nameless, watching from the sidelines, was actually quite content with the lull. He stayed hidden off to the side; although the Wayward Woman would occasionally lunge toward him, Ake always managed to block her attacks, so it was always a close call but never truly dangerous. Nameless planned to strike only when the three of them were finally deciding the outcome—that way, he could reap the benefits of their conflict. The three were locked in a fierce, deadlocked battle when suddenly, a thunderous roar echoed from the distance: “Stop!” The voice was as deep as a great bell, resonant and lingering, sending a shiver down one’s spine. The depth of the newcomer’s inner energy was beyond imagination. As the command “Stop!” echoed, a figure drifted down from the sky—clad in a Taoist robe as ethereal as a cloud, with a gray beard and white hair, resembling an immortal descended from the heavens. It was none other than Xiaoyaozi himself.
