Tempting Huo to Marry

Chapter 3: Intimate Encounter In the dim light, Xia Wan’s long legs and slender waist revealed her exquisite, curvaceous figure. A barely perceptible flicker of emotion crossed Huo Qingsui’s eyes. Is it her? Their eyes met. The man’s deep, dark eyes were unusually somber, like a bottomless vortex that drew one in, unable to escape, yet carrying an undeniable sense of oppression. Xia Wan felt as though the blood in her entire body had stopped flowing at that very moment. The air around her began to grow thin, making even breathing difficult. After a brief moment of mental blankness, Xia Wan flushed crimson, spun around abruptly, and shouted in a mix of anger and humiliation, “Get out! Bastard! Pervert!” Out of panic, her slender fingers covering her private parts trembled slightly, no matter how calm she tried to appear on the surface. Huo Qingsui lowered his gaze, quickly averting his eyes from her. A barely perceptible flicker of unease crossed his cold, composed face before he turned and walked away. The frosted glass door closed once more. Xia Wan bit her lower lip hard, her heart pounding so hard it felt like it would leap out of her chest. She couldn’t fathom how a man had ended up in this room! But now wasn’t the time to dwell on that; the most important thing right now was to get out of there as quickly as possible! Taking a deep breath, she glanced at the clothes on the rack nearby. Without hesitation, she set off toward them. “Ah!” But her foot slipped unexpectedly, and she fell awkwardly to the floor. To make matters worse, her knee slammed hard against the bathtub beside her. “Ouch!” Xia Wan tried to stand up, but a searing pain shot through her, leaving her immobilized. Her face turned deathly pale instantly. Hearing the noise, Huo Qingsui paused in his steps, furrowing his brow slightly as he asked in a deep voice, “What’s wrong?” His voice was cool yet tinged with a hoarseness. As Xia Wan listened, she felt an inexplicable sense of grievance. Biting her lip, she didn’t answer. The vast room suddenly fell silent, not a sound to be heard. Thinking he had left, Xia Wan gritted her teeth and tried to stand up again. “Ugh!” A muffled groan escaped her as the pain intensified. Beads of sweat—whether from heat or pain, she couldn’t tell—had already begun to form on her smooth forehead. Stubborn and unwilling to admit defeat, she was about to try again when the frosted glass door swung open without warning! The man’s long, straight legs suddenly came into view. Time seemed to stand still for a second. “……” Xia Wan, embarrassed and ashamed, covered herself up. Her face was so red it looked like it might bleed. How could she not be terrified at being seen naked by a stranger? She forced herself to feign composure. “You… what are you doing?! Get out!” Huo Qingsui’s gaze was impassive. He pinched the towel and tossed it over her. The throw was perfect, covering her exposed skin with pinpoint accuracy. Xia Wan’s heart was pounding. Forgetting to tell him to leave, she frantically tried to tie it on. But just as she was about to finish tying it, a clean, crisp scent suddenly enveloped her! The man spread his strong, muscular arms and forcefully scooped her up horizontally. His slightly cool fingertips unexpectedly brushed against her skin, and Xia Wan felt a sudden shiver where he touched her. She was enveloped by a strong scent of male pheromones. Having never been this close to a man before, she instinctively tried to break free, only to find she couldn’t move a muscle—she had no room to resist. For no apparent reason, fear gripped her. Without a second thought, she opened her mouth and bit down hard on the man’s arm! Huo Qingsui furrowed his brow slightly, lowering his gaze to glance at her. His thin lips parted slightly, his voice warm, hoarse, and cool: “Stop fooling around.” The man’s breath was mere inches away, and Xia Wan’s body stiffened. Soon, she was carried out of the bathroom and placed on the bed. Almost the moment she touched the bed, Xia Wan quickly pulled the blanket over herself. Her breathing was ragged, and a few strands of hair lay haphazardly against her cheek. As she lifted her gaze, she met the man’s inscrutable, pitch-black eyes—dark and heavy, carrying an unbearable sense of pressure, yet as deep and unfathomable as an ancient well, possessing a power that drew one in. Her fingers clenched the blanket tightly. Xia Wan took a deep breath and demanded angrily, trying to regain her composure, but her voice carried a slight tremor she hadn’t even noticed herself: “Who are you? Why are you in my room?!” Huo Qingsui looked down at her from above, observing her slightly reddened eyes and her stubborn demeanor despite her obvious fear. For some reason, it felt as though something had gently brushed against the tip of his heart. His eyes darkened slightly as he suddenly recalled the scene of her smashing the car outside the hotel. Xia Wan, seeing him remain expressionless and silent, felt a twinge of panic: “You…” “This is my room.” Huo Qingsui glanced at her and spoke coldly, interrupting her. Just as he was about to ask a question in return, he suddenly sensed something was wrong with his body! A wave of heat surged through him, a ball of fire seemed to pass through his lower abdomen, and his Adam’s apple bobbed uncontrollably. His already deep eyes were now dark and brooding, even somewhat intimidating. Huo Qingsui’s brow furrowed deeply, his mind suddenly clear. That drink earlier was tampered with! His expression darkened instantly, like the calm before a storm.
